Autumn McCain, MPP, MS, LMFT

I help individuals, couples, and families cultivate or restore connection, healing, and hope. My approach is rooted in a systemic, attachment-based framework. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), crisis intervention, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, I am an Approved Clinical Supervisor with the Virginia Board of Counseling and a Clinical Fellow with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

I believe that true healing blossoms within relationships, through building positive interactions and safe emotional connections with the most important people in our lives. Healing is a journey not meant to be traveled alone, and I am here to walk alongside you on your path.

My goal is to help clients slow down, reconnect with themselves, and move toward growth at a pace that feels safe and sustainable. I primarily integrate Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, approaches that allow us to explore your story with compassion, curiosity, and practical tools. I have a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from George Washington University and am passionate about providing systemic care and promote relational healing. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults of all ages and have experience working with disability acceptance, identity acceptance, ADHD, neurodivergence, perfectionism, and the emotional impact of addiction and mental health challenges within the family system.
